Our Facilities

The campground works on a self check-i n basis so it is important to book online and choose your site before you arrive. The Activities Shed is the main point of contact with our dedicated staff. Please note that this is not manned all the time and is open for a few hours a day.

If we can make your stay more comfortable, or memorable please feel welcome to come to talk with us. Our friendly, knowledgeable team who will be happy to assist with booking any activities you may be interested in including track transfers to some of the best walks around including the Routeburn, Dart-Rees or Greenstone-Caples.

Mrs Woolly's General Store is just next door and serves excellent coffee, cakes and light meals. It also has all your grocery needs plus. agreat place to shop for something unique and different.

We offers guest free WIFI, throughout the Campground. Please be aware that you are a remote area so our internet may not always be super-fast. Trees, mountains, and stormy weather can affect the coverage so you might need to move around a bit to get the perfect signal.

There is also a well-maintained kitchen with refrigerators, stoves, pottery, basic kitchen utensils and outdoor BBQ’s. Picnic benches are scattered around the hub of the campground enabling you to enjoy a relaxed meal morning, noon, or night!

If cooking is not on the agenda then Mrs Woolly's General Store has a great selection of food available to eat in or take away and is situated right next door to the campground. If you are looking to treat yourself then why not make a reservation at the nearby Headwaters Eco Lodge where they serve a delicious 3 course Chef's Choice Dinner made with seasonal ingredients. Reservations are required and can be made HERE.

The campground has clean modern facilities on-site to enhance your stay including hot showers (coin-operated $2 only), and toilets.

The laundry has coin operated washing machines and dryers. Washing powder is available from the office as well as $2 coins.

Recycling is important to us so please can you use the recycle bins provided and sort your rubbish accordingly.

Please note, there is no dump station available on-site so you will need to empty your waste tank before getting to Glenorchy. The BP station (1094 Frankton Road) in Queenstown is the closest available dump station to Glenorchy. No emptying chemical toilet waste or other material in campground toilets please!
