Booking Terms and Conditions
These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings at Mrs Woolly’s Campground. By making a booking, you agree to these terms and to our Campground Rules & Conditions of Occupancy.
Rates & Bookings
- All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
- Rates and availability are subject to change until your booking is confirmed.
- Bookings made by phone or email may incur a $10 administration fee.
- Changes to a confirmed booking may incur a $10 administration fee.
- The child rate applies to children aged 6–14 years. Children aged 5 years and under stay free of charge.
Site Allocation
- We will do our best to honour requests for a particular site; however, specific site numbers cannot be guaranteed.
- We reserve the right to move a booking to another site of the same or a higher category where operationally required. If we need to move your booking to a lower- priced site, we will refund the difference in price.
Occupancy
- Only guests included in the booking may stay overnight on the site. All overnight guests must be registered with the Campground and the number of guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy of the site booked
- Any additional overnight guests must be advised to the Campground team and the applicable additional guest fee paid.
- A responsible adult aged 18 years or over must reside on the site for the duration of the booking. Proof of age may be requested.
- Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Guests bringing a pet must advise us at the time of booking and comply with our Pet Policy throughout their stay.
Vehicles, Boats & Trailers
- All vehicles, caravans, campervans, boats and trailers must remain within the boundaries of the allocated site or designated parking area and must not obstruct roadways, neighbouring sites or emergency access.
- For Powered Sites, one campervan/motorhome or one caravan with its towing vehicle is permitted on the site.
- For Regular Unpowered Sites, one vehicle is permitted per site.
- For XL Unpowered Sites, up to two vehicles, one of which may be a boat or trailer is permitted on the site.
- Tent sites do not include vehicle parking on the site. Vehicles associated with tent- site bookings must be parked in designated parking areas.
- Prior approval must be obtained before additional vehicles are brought into or parked within the Campground.
Card Payments
- Card payments may be subject to a card processing surcharge. Any applicable surcharge will be clearly advised before payment is completed.
Check-in & Check-out
- Check-in and check-out times will be confirmed with your booking.
- Late check-out is subject to availability and must be agreed with the Campground team in advance. An unauthorised late departure may incur an additional charge.
Cancellations – Standard Bookings
- All cancellations must be made in writing and should include your booking confirmation number.
- For standard bookings, cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date will receive a refund, less a 15% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled arrival date are non-refundable.
- A no-show will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will be provided.
- Changes that reduce the length or value of a booking will be treated as a cancellation of the affected portion of the booking.
- If a stay is shortened within 48 hours of arrival or after the stay has commenced, no refund will normally apply.
Cancellations – Peak Periods
- A 14-day cancellation period applies to bookings falling within the following peak periods:
– 24 December to 3 January
– Otago Anniversary Weekend
– Waitangi Day
– Easter
– Anzac Day
– Labour Weekend - Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled arrival date will receive a refund, less a 15% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date are non-refundable.
- Where a booking includes dates both within and outside a peak period, the cancellation conditions applicable to the booking will be advised at the time of booking.
Promotional & Non-refundable Rates
- Some promotional or special rates may have different cancellation or amendment conditions, including being fully non-refundable.
- Any different conditions will be clearly identified before the booking is confirmed and will form part of your booking terms.
Refunds
- Where a refund is due, it will be returned via the original payment method wherever practicable.
- Card processing or transaction fees may not be refundable where these have already been incurred by us, subject to your rights under New Zealand law.
Travel Disruptions & Unforeseen Circumstances
- We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans, including illness, vehicle breakdowns, severe weather, road closures and transport cancellations.
- Cancellations arising from these circumstances will normally be managed in accordance with the cancellation conditions applicable to your booking, subject always to your rights under New Zealand law.
If We Need to Change or Cancel Your Booking
- Very occasionally, circumstances may require us to change or cancel a confirmed booking.
- If we are unable to provide your booked site for reasons within our control, we will endeavour to provide a suitable alternative. If we cannot provide a suitable alternative, we will refund any amount paid for the accommodation we are unable to provide.
- Where circumstances outside our reasonable control affect our ability to provide your booking – including severe weather, natural hazards, civil defence emergencies, road closures, utility failures or other significant events – we will work with you to find a reasonable solution, having regard to the circumstances and your rights under New Zealand law.
Damage & Additional Cleaning
- Guests are responsible for any damage they or members of their party cause to Campground property or facilities beyond reasonable wear and tear.
- We reserve the right to recover the reasonable cost of repairing damage, replacing property or undertaking additional cleaning required as a result of a guest’s stay.
Personal Property
- Guests are responsible for their vehicles, camping equipment and personal belongings while staying at the Campground.
- Nothing in these Booking Terms & Conditions limits any rights or remedies available to you under New Zealand law.
Campground Rules
- All guests and visitors must comply with our Campground Rules & Conditions of Occupancy and any reasonable directions from Campground staff relating to safety, site use and the operation of the Campground.
- Serious or repeated breaches of these conditions may result in guests being required to leave the Campground. Where a guest is required to leave as a result of their own serious or repeated breach, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of their stay.
